De Dommel Water Board encompasses the river basin of the Dommel within the Dutch borders, to the point where this river flows into the Dieze at the same point as the Aa. It also encompasses the water basin of the Zandleij, which flows into the ‘s-Hertogenbosch-Drongelen drainage canal. This area, in which the large cities Eindhoven and Tilburg are situated, covers 1,510 square kilometres.
